Playing Divisions
• Open: Under 20 as of 1/1/26, NZCF Rating 1200+
(FIDE and NZCF rated)
• Senior: 13 years & over
• Intermediate: 11–12 years
• Junior: 10 years & under
• Kapiti Schools Team Cup: Kapiti Horowhenua schools
& colleges only (up to 4 players counting per team)
Format
• Individual competition with four
playing divisions
• 6-round Swiss tournament
• Time control: 15 minutes + 5
seconds per move
