Venue: Vogeltown Bowling Club rooms, 26 Norman Street, New Plymouth.

Format: Six-round open Swiss tournament – 25 minutes + 5 seconds per move. Article A.5 of the
Laws of Chess will apply.

NZCF* and FIDE rated where possible. A FIDE ID is required.**

*You must be an NZCF member to participate – add $5 to your entry fee if you are not an NZCF member for 2026.
**A FIDE ID will automatically be assigned to any NZL player who does not have one (requires NZ citizenship, a resident
visa or permanent resident visa), and non-NZL players must have or obtain FIDE ID from their national federation.

Entry Fee: $60 Adults, $45 Juniors Under 20 yrs (add $5 if you are not an NZCF member)

Club account for payment: 15-3942-0001596-00 (state “RAPID” for Particulars and give last name
and initials as Reference).

Minimum Prize fund of $1,500, with first prize of $350
(85% of income after expenses will be paid as prizes with a Minimum Prize fund of $1,500 and a first prize of $350)

Prize giving will commence as soon as possible after the final round.

Morning and Afternoon Tea will be provided.
